More evidence that the energy crisis and the environmental crisis may not be solvable at the same time, no matter what climate change scientists warn about the world running out of time.

While environmentalists will quickly answer that the Britain can’t afford not to go green, the fact is, without public support, political efforts to advance Kyoto and other green treaties could stall out.
