Although it’s commonly believed that coal-to-liquids (CTL) isn’t viable when crude is below $100 a barrel, the Ohio EPA just issued a final permit for a new CTL plant. www.greencarcongress.com
By using biomass with the coal, the plant won’t be as damaging to the environment as a straight CTL plant.
The plant is expected to produce jet fuel or diesel.
